1. Who we are
This website and its customer account service are operated by Saj Brwkrz Lwsath Altamyn, trading as SAJ Brokers Insurance ("SAJ", "we", "us"), an insurance broker in the State of Qatar, Commercial Registration No. 211177, licensed by the Qatar Central Bank under licence No. وت/ر.ش.ت/2026/39, with its office at Office 16, City Plaza Investment, Lusail, Qatar. For this service SAJ is the controller of your personal data under Qatar Law No. (13) of 2016 on the Protection of Personal Data Privacy.
Contact: info@sajbrokers.com · WhatsApp / phone +974 7778 4260.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: your email address, and the display name you give when you create your account. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email.
- Contact data: full name, email and phone number entered in a request.
- Motor request data: vehicle make, model, year, value and use; optionally the VIN and plate number; new or renewal request, current insurer and policy expiry date; the offer and extras you choose and the price shown.
- Travel request data: destination, travel dates and cover preferences.
- Request history: the status of your requests (for example Offer confirmed, Paid, Policy issued) and when it changed.
- Technical data: secure session cookies needed to keep you signed in, and security records kept by our servers.
We do not ask for Qatar ID, passport, Istimara or other documents through this website. Please do not send sensitive personal data (such as health information) through the request forms.
3. Why we use your data
- To create and protect your account and confirm it is you when you sign in.
- To prepare insurance offers, process the offer you confirm, and contact you about it.
- To arrange your insurance with the insurer, arrange payment and the issue of your policy.
- To show you the status and history of your requests.
- To meet our legal and regulatory duties as an insurance broker, keep records, prevent fraud and keep our systems secure.
We process your data with your consent when you submit a request, to take steps you ask for before entering into an insurance contract, and where required to comply with Qatari law. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7); this does not affect processing already carried out.
4. Who we share it with
- Insurance companies — currently Doha Insurance Group — when you confirm an offer, so they can price and issue your policy.
- Service providers working for us: Microsoft (account sign-in and one-time email codes) and our hosting provider (secure servers that run this website and store requests). They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Authorities such as the Qatar Central Bank, where the law requires.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
5. Transfers outside Qatar
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Qatar: our website and its data are hosted on secure servers operated by Hostinger in the European Union (Germany), and our email runs on Microsoft 365. Where this happens we use providers with appropriate security and contractual protections, in line with Qatari law.
6. How long we keep it
We keep request and policy records for as long as needed for the purposes above and for the period required by insurance and commercial record-keeping rules in Qatar, and in any case for 5 years after your last policy with us ends. Requests that do not lead to a policy are kept for 2 years and then deleted. Encrypted backups are deleted on a rolling schedule.
7. Your rights
Subject to Qatari law, you can ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your data where there is no longer a reason to keep it; object to or restrict processing; and withdraw your consent. Contact info@sajbrokers.com. We will reply within the period set by law. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the competent authority in Qatar, the National Data Privacy Office of the National Cyber Security Agency.
8. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), one-time-code sign-in, staff access limited to authorised SAJ staff with multi-factor authentication, access records, and encrypted backups. No system is completely secure; please tell us immediately if you think your account has been misused.
9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed to sign you in and protect your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Children
This service is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be shown on the website.
